The Funny Names of Tecmo

Here is a topic that should bring out some discussion.. We know they are out there.. they are the No- names, they probably dominated in high school and college.. but in Tecmo they are just a blip on the screen , flying under the radar.... that is until a guy like Bryan Smith on the Rams returns a fumble for Td, or Freddie Joe Nunn sacks Joe Montana in the endzone for a safety... Or Herman Fontenot comes in to replace an injured Kieth Woodside during my Packers season - and goes off with a 150 yard rushing game.. I'm sure You guys can think of more examples of what makes the Obscure names in Tecmo the reason why this thing is so fun to play 20 Years later.......... sincerely,

Mike Utley was not in the original TSB. The game was released following the 1990 season, and I don't believe he was a starter until the 91 season, in which we all know what happened. Toolie, possibly an obscure reference, because do non-Lions fans know what 'thumbs up' is all about? I can imagine they do, but obviously it wasn't as big as it was in the D for quite a time. Go Lions!
