Did anyone else notice that tecmosuperbowl.com is gone or under construction at gamespy? It was a cool site for general information. I hope it's not gone forever.

It was also the developer of Tecmo Rose Bowl, a quite impressive hack given our combined knowledge of the rom at the time.

Thanks Rod! A long time ago, I printed out almost all of the pages on that site and put them in a notebook and saved it just in case that happened. I know, I'm sick. Anyway, if it never comes back, I may recreate it! It should be up just for posterity reasons.

Also, I know about "Pro Football Reference" and "Pro Football Focus" but wasn't there a 3rd website that also printed a book that was very similar to those? I could of sworn I saw it around here somewhere and can't find it for the life of me. They pretty much analyzed every play and every player and then put it in a book. Any help?

No need - www.archive.org - I personally plan on borrowing from the verbiage of the tecmo releases as I feel that was one thing on that site which was an awesome reference that should be out there.

Thanks Bo but no it wasn't them even though they do have a must have book, "Football Outsiders Almanac", for freaks like us. With the internet, it seems almost silly to buy a book when you can get everything online for free. Although, I still like reading and having a book in my hands.

Oh absolutely. I bought a slightly outdated version of The Football Encyclopedia online (I think 1998 was the last year it covered), and that is a treasure trove of old playbooks and players. I found it essential to rating older players, especially defense, who don't have a lot of stats available. It has this huge section called somthing like "the 500 greatest players of all time." It was over 1000 pages and only cost me 15 bucks, including shipping.

I went to the archive and it was a little too technical for me. Is there a way we could recreate that site here or somewhere since it looks like you have all the info? I really want to check something out on the playbooks screen he had on there. It's killing me.

No, he had a section that was like 7 playbooks people used displayed with little summaries. This link is great though! Bodom might be interested to see it. That kind of link should be main page material in my opinion.
